My client is a global trading house looking to expand their European presence in the ethanol space. The position is for a senior ethanol trader, ideally with a background in fuel. Gasoline (or any fuel) blending experience is considered an asset. The position will be based in Geneva, working directly beneath the Head of Ethanol. This role will have a substantial influence on the direction of the trading book, helping to determine the direction of the business moving forward. This would be an excellent move for a trader looking for more visibility and a higher level of influence within the firm than they currently have.
There will be liaison with the offices in Singapore, USA and Brazil; and the role will involve some travel to meet internal and external counterparties. The position of Senior Ethanol Trader will focus on trading ethanol to third party oil producers with a particular view to blending facilities. A successful candidate will have an extensive network of contacts within the ethanol space and the ability to responsibly manage their own PnL. The regional focus will be predominantly NWE. Salary negotiable. Start date ASAP.
